Thoughts on the End of a Decade

Something just occurred to me today.  It's 2011.  I know, I know - it's a new year.  But it's also a new *decade* right?  Don't the media and the internets usually make a big deal out of this sort of thing with lots of retrospectives of the past decade, best of lists and what not?  This seems to be conspicuously absent this year.  Am I just not looking in the right places?  Is it the fact that it was the aughts and doesn't really count?  Or is it the fact that most of us around here recently experienced a millennial transition, and we are all too jaded now to take notice of a mere change in decade?
